Japanese Skincare Packaging
At-a-Glance
For this project, we were tasked with redesigning packaging for a fictional Japanese skincare brand. I created “Golden Ice”, which redefines luxury skincare, blending the warmth of gold with the purity of ice. Inspired by Japan’s most prestigious aesthetics, its cool-toned elegance meets rich, ornate gold detailing. Each flavor evokes a winter’s glow, wrapped in sleek Japanese typography and timeless opulence.
Successes
Golden Ice was an exploration of luxury skincare packaging, blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with a modern, high-end feel. The use of deep red, white, and black with ornate gold detailing created a striking yet elegant design. Through careful attention to typography, texture, and cultural elements, the project successfully balanced heritage and contemporary minimalism.
What I Learned
This project highlighted the importance of color harmony, material selection, and storytelling in design. It reinforced how small details, like typography and finishes, can enhance brand perception and how cultural inspiration can be translated into a refined, modern aesthetic.
